Atlas
Brookings Lecture, International Magic, London. From the organisers: Meet
Atlas Brookings... Coming to magic comparatively late in his life, Atlas has a
unique approach to mentalism that isn't grounded in traditional pencil, paper
and envelope approaches. Indeed, much of the compelling material he will present
simply involves looking into a participant's eyes and telling them their
thoughts - feats which can be accomplished consistently and which are built on
real and reliable methodologies.
Join Atlas as he examines and discusses his numerous distinctive and ground
breaking mentalism techniques that are shaping the path of mentalism as it moves
into the 21st century. He won't just present these techniques; he'll discuss the
optimal presentational framework, when they are best used and the most impactful
way to present the material. He'll also teach you some compelling sleight-free
mind reading effects using playing cards. You'll memorize a thoroughly mixed
deck of cards, with perfect recall, in less than 20 minutes! Atlas is a full
time entertainer and has consulted for performers across the industry, including
stars like David Blaine.
Tuesday 12th September 2017 at 7.30pm. Price is
£15.00 per person, payable at the door, but please email
martin@internationalmagic.com
or call to reserve your place. Venue: 2nd Floor of Casa Italiana, 136 Clerkenwell Road,
London EC1R 5DL (Map).

landscape for the mind reader. Opens doors previously sealed tightly shut.
Watch, listen and learn." Luke Jermay.

Dave
Hooper lecture - Liverpool Magic Circle. Alan Singleton writes: Our own Dave
Hooper will be giving a lecture on card forces and controls. Those of you who
have seen Dave knows he has what many consider the very best force ever! (See
his DVD Force of Will.) Make sure you bring a deck of cards. This will be an
in-depth lecture on his force and controls. Dave has also asked me to mention
that he will be selling items at the lecture at special prices. "David actually
fooled me with his force, it was a joy to be fooled." Doc Eason. "He forced the
same card on me five times, and it was fair, every time!" Chris Ramsay. "Dave
has made all other forces irrelevant. If you're going to learn the force, this
is the best." Kieron Lefever. Monday, September 4th, at 8pm. Visiting magicians
welcome. Liverpool Magic Circle, Longmoor Social Club,
Longmoor Lane, Liverpool L9 9EN (Map).
