The
Mark Leveridge October Podcast. Sit back and relax and enjoy half an
hour with Mark as he chats with you about the following topics: The
stresses and strains of moving house and relocating two businesses. Is
it best to quote all inclusive show fees, or is it better to have a
lower headline price and then go for added extras? The latest annual
Cumbrian Conjurers Collective session provides tangible help and advice.
Mark highlights one of the most important aspects of performance that
some entertainers tend to forget. A new online show agency gets Mark's
vote over Bark. Why you should take the online video tour of E-Club Pro
and see exactly what benefits members receive. Mark explains why he
thinks going back to tables more than once is not a good idea. The

Magic
at The Magi. The Order of The Magi in Manchester held their annual
stage competition last Tuesday when an enthusiastic number of members
and visitors attended to see competitors battle it out for the new Joe
Abrahams Cup. This had been donated by the family using proceeds from
the magical estate of our late member and past President Joe. His son
and daughter-in-law acted as lay judges on the panel which also had two
magical judges. Seven performers took part, with only one repeated
effect which is well above average for nearly all competitions. The
standard was, generally speaking, high, with most competitors keeping
within the time limit allocated. The winner was one of the society’s
Life Members, Adrian Sullivan (right), with Mike Sharples taking the
Comedy Award of which he has been the winner on several occasions
recently. Both winners are seen here with current president Stuart
Cassels. Photo by Ryan Robertson. Details of Magi’s meetings and more
