Jim
Krenz UK Lecture Tour. Magic Lectures UK write: We are proud to
present Jim Krenz with his first UK lecture tour. Spending fifteen years
working for Jay and Francis Marshall at Magic Inc and being a regular
performer at Schulien’s Restaurant in Chicago his experience has lead
him to win the Most Valuable Participant award at the FFFF convention.
Jim has studied with Ed Marlo, Jim Ryan, Tony Andruzzi, Don Alan, Eugene
Burger, Slydini, Tommy Wonder and Juan Tamariz. “When I was a child I
was fascinated with the magical emotion that I felt upon watching
magicians. I could not comprehend anything, what I would see was
impossible; now I love to feel this emotion. It does not occur very
often. Normally, I can see behind the curtain, I see the 'hidden'
secrets and the mechanics. But from time to time a magician performs a
trick, or several tricks, that seem impossible and the magical emotion
returns. This happens to me with Jim Krenz.” Juan Tamariz.

#Magink.
Badgered by his artist girlfriend into taking part in Inktober (where
artists are encouraged to sketch in ink each day throughout October and
post online) Jay Fortune decided to join in half-way though the month
and do his own version called Magink. For the past week or so Jay has
been sketching a portrait of a magician-a-day in pen, and posting
online. The last one is coming on October 31st. Having already drawn
Eugene Burger, Dai Vernon, Ricky Jay, Houdini, Paul Daniels, David
Berglas (who was so impressed with Jay's portrait in brush pen that he
has asked for permission to use it in his own projects), today’s magic
star is Fred Kaps. Jay hints at the final one in the Magink series for
this October being someone "who is the greatest theatrical living
magician and appropriate for Halloween." Find out who, and view Jay’s
pen portraits, via his
Instagram or
Facebook page.

DNA: We Know What You're Thinking - Leicester Square Theatre, London.
From the promoters: Following their astounding appearances on
series 11 of Britain’s Got Talent, mind reading duo DNA will headline an
intimate show at London’s Leicester Square Theatre this Halloween. Andrew and
Darren, best known as mind reading double act DNA, took the nation by storm when
they appeared on the latest series of Britain’s Got Talent with their incredible
telepathic ability known as 'The Gift'. Wowing the judges, live audience and
viewers at home, the duo went on to reach the finals of the hit TV talent show.
Their first audition reached over 8.4 million YouTube views alone. "What you
do, honestly, is incredible" Simon Cowell.
Performed completely live, they can ask volunteers to concentrate on the names
of celebrities, telephone numbers, credit card numbers, a word in a book, the
name of the street they grew up on, a relative’s name… literally anything. With
devastating speed and accuracy the pair are then able to reveal what that name,
number or word is, every time.
Their unique mind reading performances have now been enjoyed by tens of millions
of people around the world. Aptly named 'The Gift', the duo have created a show
that will blow minds and prove that the impossible really is possible - but only
for them! As the purest form of mind reading you will ever witness, their
performance has to be experienced to be believed. Andrew and Darren said:
"Having shown a snippet of what we can do on Britain's Got Talent, we can't wait
to show our audience so much more. Our audience is the most important part of
our show. We want everyone to leave having had a great time. Your thoughts will
become theirs in seconds… are you ready? Don’t miss DNA live this October.
DNA: We Know What You're Thinking, Leicester Square Theatre, London, Tuesday
31st October 2017. Doors 7pm. Tickets £25 to £85 plus booking fees. All Ages.

Unfathomable
- "the most baffling demonstration of mindreading you will ever witness".
From the producers:
This Halloween, 3CourseMagic presents Unfathomable, a telepathy magic
show that claims to be "the most baffling demonstration of mindreading
you will ever witness". You can decide for yourself by seeing the show
this Halloween.
The mind-magic in the show has been in development over two years. It
made its debut in the summer of 2016 in the company of Debbie McGee. It
was introduced by David Berglas and starred the Deans.
The producers are now seeking to re-cast a male performer to join
Rebecca Herrera (the Anomaly), to keep the act going. The show was
created by Martin T Hart, (Piddington’s Secrets) who wants to keep this
1950s style telepathy act very much alive. Stepping into the male role
until a replacement is cast, is magician Gary D Hart.
If you would like to see the show, free tickets are available. Simply
add your name to the guest list at
www.3coursemagic.com. 7.30pm on Tuesday 31st October at The Edward Lear, 471 Holloway
Road, Islington, London N7 6LE (Map).
