Fergus
Flanagan is the first-ever Magic Circle Virtual Magician of the Year!
Following an eagerly fought round of heats, five magicians made it through to
last Sunday's final which went out live via Zoom worldwide, to both magicians
and members of the public. Fergus has a real charisma and instantly captivated
both the magic judges and the public (whose voting contributed to up to 60% of
the final score) making him a very worthy winner. Vlad Grigorescu was placed
second, with the other finalists being Chris Fleming, Abel Megyes and Chris
Herren. Congratulations to them all. Organiser Rodney James Piper said: "During
the last couple of years, a new medium of magical performance has been created
and The Magic Circle is proud to be celebrating and showcasing this exciting
form of entertainment."
The Magic Circle has continued to innovate throughout the past two difficult
years by introducing TMC TV and world-class live lectures broadcast exclusively
for members, and now this new competition. They also produce the excellent
in-house monthly magazine 'The Circular' which thrives under Will Houstoun's
editorship. For membership details see
