Ellisdons,
The History: Volume Two by Philip David Treece has just been released. The
story of London’s iconic magic and joke shop concludes. Exclusive to
CollectingMagicBooks.com and limited to just 100 copies.
This final volume on Ellisdons’ history joins the family in 1939. It charts all
aspects of this strange business, including their London magic department, which
evolved over the 1950s from a counter of pocket money toys to a social hub for
professional conjurers. Regulars to the store included Tommy Cooper, Tony
Corinda and Alex Elmsley, to name just a few. Ellisdons’ final 45 years saw many
changes, ups and downs, scandals and triumphs. This is their colourful history.
This beautifully produced hardback book has 250 pages and contains 60 pages of
full-colour plates illustrating the history of the company and the tricks they
produced.
This edition is limited to just 100 copies and is available with Volume One as a
boxed set for the special price of £55. This comes with a custom-made
reproduction Ellisdons postal box, hand stitched by a traditional box maker in
Sheffield. Volume Two can also be purchased with the box for £35 for those who

impressive number of clever ideas and forces. I was super impressed." Andi

Magician
Tom Elderfield can currently be seen on BBC1's new reality series
The Traitors.
Claudia Winkleman greets 22 strangers as they arrive at a beautiful castle in
the Scottish Highlands to play the ultimate reality game of detection,
backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning up to £120,000. It’s not long
before the players are questioning everything, and everyone, as Claudia secretly
assigns three traitors. It is up to the traitors, under the cover of darkness,
to pick off their fellow players one by one, murdering them from the game.
The rest of the players, the faithful, must try to work out who the traitors are
and banish them from the game before they become their next victim. The lucky
ones who survive to the end will have a chance to win that life-changing cash.
But if a traitor remains undetected, they will take all the money.
