British Magical Society's inaugural Donald Bevan Abra Award. Bob King writes: On Tuesday 13th February the BMS gathered to compete for a new competition - created to mark the 90th Birthday of longstanding and hardworking club past president Donald Bevan, who also edited Abra magazine for more than 40 years. Eight members of the club competed for the award which required them to perform a trick originally published in any edition of Abra. There was a wide mix of routines but Phil Sweeting won the trophy with a nostalgia-inducing routine involving the prediction of an amount of change to pay for a magic trick at 1970s prices! Phil was humbled to win the prize which was in honour of one of his magical heroes and is pictured here receiving the trophy from Donald, while club president Jim McLean watches on. 17.2.24

Well, every two months Mark Leveridge makes two of his products generally available as Web Offers, enabling anyone to purchase the selected items at around 40% off.
