Merlins Magic Shop release Mark Lee's brand new 'Sure Bet', and write: A prediction so perfect, you can wager on it. The Ultimate Prediction. 100% Accuracy. Zero Force. The magician displays a perfect Royal Flush — Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace — all of the same suit. The cards are laid out openly, face up, in front of the spectator. A bold wager is made. The magician produces a wallet containing a cash bet — if he’s wrong, the money is theirs. The spectator is handed a poker chip and invited to freely mark any card in the Royal Flush. They can even change their mind. Despite a completely free choice, the magician’s prediction is revealed to be an exact match — every single time.

100% accurate prediction — guaranteed. Completely free choice — no equivoque. No sleight of hand, counting, or elimination process. Instantly resets — perfect for walk-around and table work. Packs small, plays big. Comes complete with everything you need to perform a clean, fair, and astonishing moment of pure mental impossibility. See www.merlinswakefield.com for more details.

An entertaining mental effect for a close up or parlour show in which an audience helper unwittingly identifies which of six spectators holds the location of some imaginary buried treasure. 2. The Unprint Button. One of Mark's classic early packet tricks in which card faces disappear one at a time from four cards by pushing an 'unprint button' imbedded in the cards. Jimmy Craig. Adrian Harris, Perth Magic Circle, writes: On 4th November, Magicians from all parts of Scotland gathered together at Kircaldy Crematorium to say their final farewells to a much loved and respected friend, James (Jimmy) Craig who passed away on 15th October at the age of 97 years. Jimmy was well known throughout the magic fraternity for his amazing knowledge of all things magical as well as being a well known entertainer in the North East of Scotland and particularly in the Kingdom of Fife. As a Founder member of the now defunct Kircaldy Magic Circle, he was responsible for the smooth running of the club’s Annual Magic Auction which on several occasions ran from lunchtime to late into the evening. He was the first person to be elected twice as President of The Scottish Association of Magical Societies, first in 1962 and then again in 1990. He was also made an Hon. Life member of the Association for services rendered. He was proud of the fact that he had attended every Scottish convention.

During the service, Jimmy’s grand daughter read a poem by Mark Gregory entitled “The Magician’s Last Trick” a very poignant tribute. The President of Ring 25 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Moira Fletcher carried out the Broken Wand Ceremony which was moving and personal as she had been a long time family friend for many years since childhood. Clubs represented at the service included Dundee Society of Magicians, Edinburgh M.C., Paisley M.C., St. Andrews M.C., West Lothian M.C. and Perth M.C. 8.11.25
