Mark
Raffles - The Legacy. A short clip from this newly released DVD is
featured under
Magic DVDs
this week. It's another excellent DVD from the RSVPMagic.com stable
featuring one of the world's most entertaining pickpockets. Rare,
entertaining, TV clips (used with permission) are combined with
instructional footage to make this limited edition disc a truly invaluable
resource. "The Mark Raffles DVD is a must for anyone interested in
pickpocketing, but more than that, it is beneficial to anyone that wants
to learn the true secrets of magic. There are some great lessons to be
learned on timing, misdirection, showmanship and stage personality. Mark
is one of the last true music hall performers, and there is much to be
learned from his many years of experience." Norm Nielsen "A magnificent record of one of the
great acts of British variety... Quite wonderful!"

Circle of Magicians enjoyed a two hour Lecture by Derek Lever (photo)
on the Magical World of Jack Hughes recently. Over 60 different props were
shown all beautifully crafted by the late Jack Hughes, many of them now

two minute standing ovation in appreciation of all the hard work which had
gone into the lecture. Mark Leveridge, Mick Hanzlik and Simon Lovell will
be lecturing at Manchester Circle over the next three months. The Jumbo
Auction takes place on Tuesday 25th October and the North West Close-up
Championships on 15th November. Congratulations are due to member Darren
