The Magic Club of Great Britain has been using magic as a vehicle to
educate, motivate and inspire young people since 1999. Having developed
a series of 'Educational
Magic Shows' for Government agencies which include Schools Sports
Partnerships, Healthy Schools, Extended Services, Gifted & Talented and
LEA's we are now the No1 supplier for educational magic shows in the
country.
We also run
after school clubs three different Magic clubs, a Balloon Modelling
and Magic Science club plus new for 2017 a Performing Arts club.
We are now looking for magicians who would like to increase their
incomes by building a magic business in schools at a time when they are
not normally working (Monday to Friday). For information on our
‘Partnership Programme’
click here and to see school recommendations
If you are the right person you will receive free training and full
access to our educational show portfolio. In addition you will be
trained on how to run our after school clubs. We have a sales and
marketing team handling inquiries and marketing to local schools each
term, plus an administration team.
A major benefit of our 'After School Magic Clubs' programme is they are
an easy way to get into schools as they do not cost schools a penny.
Most importantly if you are a children's entertainer you will find this
an easy way to increase party bookings because the children and parents
think you're great.
Schools work for 8.5 months a year, with 20 working days in a month,
doing 2 shows a day you have potential to build a business that can
produce an extra 170 (mid-week) shows and after schools clubs a year.
We are looking for the right person to represent us in schools, if that
is you:
● Training is totally free.
● You are not buying a franchise or paying for a territory.
● You do not have to buy magic from us (use your own).
● There are no annual fees for marketing or admin support.

The
December Mark Leveridge Podcast: With some holiday time on the
horizon now is the perfect time to catch the latest Podcast from Mark
Leveridge. This month: Mark reflects that he has now completed exactly 4
years of the Podcast. December's shows put a strain on us and our props
in a way that virtually no other month usually does. Having used PR
earlier this year, Mark considers whether it is a good way to handle
self promotion. 'Deciding How Long To Perform For' - listen for free to
this marketed 'Mark's Monthly Message' Audio File. And finally, Mark
ponders on how it can take a long time often to become an 'overnight'
success, and also considers what the ideal time is to arrive at a gig.
The full 30 minute Podcast is free to listen to online or download as an
MP3 file either from

The
Order of The Magi Christmas Party. Geoffrey Newton PRO writes: IBM
British Ring President Clive Moore and his lady Jean certainly are
flying the flag with appearances here, there and everywhere at dinners
and other local society events. Last Tuesday they went to The Order of
The Magi Christmas Party where the total attendance was 54. “Perhaps we
made it the jokers in the pack” remarked Clive. After about an hour of
games and spot prizes, not forgetting the 6 category quiz, everyone sat
down to a hotpot type supper. Clive then made the draw for the multi
prize raffle with a string of one liners helping to bring this usually
laborious part of an evening into a few minutes of total hilarity. Well
done Clive. Entertainment was in the very capable hands of Jez Mansfield
and Emma, a young local duo presenting magic, illusion, comedy and
keyboard accompanied vocals. Yes folks the days of variety are back and
these two handled it brilliantly. Magi secretary Mike Sharples must be
congratulated on producing yet another successful event for this now
well over a hundred year old society in Manchester. His tribute to Bunny
Holly and the Cricket Bats (yes he appeared as a large bespectacled
rabbit!) will long be remembered. Oh Boy! The President, Council and
Members of The Magi wish you all a very happy festive season.

dazzle the Mayor of Barnet at sold out show. On Friday 25th November
2016, performing partners Girio and Hemmel Amrania, presented some
dazzling magic to support The Asian Community in London at The Darji
Mitra Mandal’s Pavilion Hall in Palmers Green. The event was attended by
The Worshipful the Mayor of Barnet, Councillor David Longstaff and the
Mayoress, Ms Gillian Griffiths. The show came just weeks after Girio won
The London
Society of Magicians 2016 Close Up Competition. Interest in the
dynamic duo’s first performance for The Darji Mitra Mandal led to the
event being sold out to a packed hall of over 200 guests. The Worshipful
the Mayor of Barnet, Councillor David Longstaff, commented "It was an
enormous pleasure to attend the event and support my local resident
Girio in his first show as an Award Winning Magician. Girio and Hemmel
were great company and it's clear why their show was sold out - their
magic was mesmerising and it was fun to be part of it." For booking
